Arsenal Targeting Demba Ba After Understanding His Buyout Clause Is Only £7.5million

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperately in need for players to boost his squad. Klass Jan Huntelaar, Zaha and even Henry are the names which are heavily linked with a move to Emirates, but it is reported that Newcastle’ s contract rebel Demba will be available only for £7.5 million, a price which surely comes in range for Wenger.

Demba Ba could Join Arsenal if Wenger decides to use his buy-out clause

Arsene Wenger believes that Ba could be the answer for his problems upfront. Despite intense speculation last summer, no club stepped forward to trigger Ba’s clause and Newcastle managed to keep the Senegalese striker at  St James’ Park. However it may not be the case this time as Ba has already refused to sign a new contract due to wage demands and Pardew has also admitted that the transfer talk will resume next month.

Arsenal are ready to offer him £60,000 a week plus add-ons. Ba, 27, who has a year left on his current deal, is keen to stay with Newcastle if he is offered the right amount of money.

A source close to the player said: “Demba wants to be paid what he thinks he deserves but remains committed to the club. He loves it at Newcastle and wants it to be sorted out as soon as possible.”
