Toulouse already admitted that Arsenal tried to sign Capoue during the closing stages of the Summer transfer window. Now sources from London hints that Wenger who is a long term admirer of Capoue will try again to get him in January.
Arsenal wants CapoueCapoue aged 23, joined Toulouse in 2005 and now has a contract that will keep him there till 2014. But the player announced last month that he wants a move to a bigger club.
Athletic Madrid are also interested in the versatile midfielder but Arsenal are now favorites for his signature. A bid of around 10 million pounds would be enough to lure him to Emirates.
Personally I feel there is no need for this transfer as Coquelin is developing well and Arteta is doing fine with his defensive midfielder role for time being. What do you guys think? Capoue or Coquelin? Post your opinions below.
