Here is a roundup of all the latest trnasfer rumours circling the Emirates.

transfer rumours

Rumours have been circling around all week that Arsenal have agreed a deal with Newcastle United’s Mathieu Debuchy and the player will join the Gunners squad when they start the pre-season training later this month. We had earlier reported that Debuchy has hinted a possibility of the move when he removed his bio on Twitter, which had references about his involvement with Newcastle.

The News has further been confirmed by the player himself when he spoke with French magazine L’Equipe. When asked about his Instagram post (it was later found that it was a fake account) about his future, he said:

“It is not me who posted such a message on Instagram. Everyone reports this, but there is nothing done. For now, we are in discussions. Arsenal is a great club, we’ll see how it goes.”

Arsenal have launched a bid in the region of £10m while Newcastle demands an additional two million for the French International.

In other news, Thomas Vermaelen looks all set for a move to Manchester United. The Mirror reports that the Red Devils are looking to sign the Arsenal defender as they prepare life without their veteran duo Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. A £10m looks to be the fees for the Belgium International but United are willing to pay as much as £6 for Arsenal’s third choice center back.

The Belgian whose contract is due in another 12 months has an escape route to find some regular first team action should he make the move. It will be Louis van Gaal’s third signing for the Red Devils after Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.

Alexis Sanchez barcelona

And finally, there has been a substantial improvement in the saga regarding Alexis Sanchez. While Barcelona have agreed a deal with Liverpool to sign their talisman Luis Suarez, the Catalan club are eager to sell the Chilean to raise some funds. According to the Spanish publication AS, Barcelona are now studying two bids for Sanchez, who they value between 30-35 million Euros: one from Arsenal, and one from Juventus.

It is also reported by AS that Sanchez has turned down the possibility of moving to Liverpool and it will be down to Arsenal and Juventus to battle it out and convince Barcelona, who will sell him to the highest bidder.
