Arsenal Receive Massive Injury Boost

The much awaited return of Arsenal’s German International Lukas Podolski is finally here. Podolski is expected to be involved with the Gunners first team in the coming weeks after the attacker returned to the London Colney for some light training regimes.

The Gunners lost 2-0 at home against Chelsea today, mainly because of their lack in squad depth. Given first team opportunities, the likes of Bendtner and Jenkinson proved to be a real liability for the team as they failed to make any sort of impact on the game. Although Bendtner was subbed in the second half for Giroud, it was too late for Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho who also fielded his second team after making as much as ten changes to his side that started against Manchester City saw his team play comfortably throughout the game when compared to Arsenal’s second choice team. The Gunners enter a crucial period where they will have to face Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Macnehster United within 10 days and the return of Podolski might just bolster their attacking options.

Arsene Wenger will have Podolski to look into instead of brining in the Danish Striker which will turn out to be a huge relief for both the manager and the fans. Along with Podolski, Walcott’s return to the first team is eagerly awaited.
