Arsenal Receive Major Injury Boost As Star Is Set To Return Much Earlier Than Expected

The news may be a good one but it also bears the shadow of disappointment about to engulf the Arsenal fans. Arsene Wenger has recently revealed that their striker Danny Welbeck is set to return from injury four months early.

The ex-Manchester United player was injured in May and was expected to be out for one whole season but Wenger has revealed that he will return around Christmas to add more depth to the team. While it is a positive news, many Gunners’ fans are starting to think that if this is the reason Arsene Wenger is not signing a striker.

The club was linked with a move for Alexandre Lacazette in the summer but the deal seemed to have hit a dead end with the Lyon manager saying that Lacazette will not be going anywhere. In all fairness, Welbeck is a fast player but he is not as clinical as the fans would want him to be. So while his return is a good news, it does not solve the Gunners’ inherent problem in front of the goal.

If this is the reason why Wenger is not going to sign a striker this summer, the fans are going to be extremely disappointed.
