Ever since Jamie Vardy rejected Arsenal in order to stay back at Leicester City, the Gunners have stepped up their chase in order to sign a new striker. Several players have been linked and the club have also recently signed Takuma Asano, a young player from J-League club Sanfreece Hiroshima.
However the search is still on as Arsenal are preparing to bid for Everton and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku. The 27 goal striker from last season was a much wanted player by Chelsea as well until Everton demanded £75 million for him. This has made Chelsea back down from the offer and signed Michy Batshuayi instead. Well, the good news for Arsenal is that they will not be part of a possible bidding war.
Lukaku is valued at £38 million by several clubs and Arsenal are willing to meet that to sign the 22 year old player. However, if Everton remains adamant to sell him at their asking price we will not likely see Lukaku changing clubs this summer.
