Yannick Carrasco came in as a surprise target for Arsenal since a week or so and now according to the Express, the Gunners are set to table a bid for the player.
The player moved to Atletico Madrid last summer in a £15m deal and has been a valuable addition to the squad. He helped Diego Simeone’s squad battle it out against Barcelona all the way for the La Liga title and landed them at the third position.
Further, Carassco recently scored an equalizer during the Champions League finals against Real Madrid, extending the match to extra time and further to penalty, where Real Madrid scored and were the winners.
The player has caught Arsene Wenger’s attention and whatever Wenger saw is sure to have impressed the manager as the Gunners now get ready to table a bid for the player. Reports suggest that Atletico are ready to cash-in on the player and hence the Gunners will be paying at least £19m.
