It’s always sad to see a very talented player struggle on a mediocre team while he could be thriving elsewhere and helping a contender earn some silverware, and it’s even sadder if the player wants to get the hell out of there but the ownership has other plans for him.

This is precisely the situation of Wolfsburg’s star Julian Draxler, as the former Schalke 04 starlet is reportedly desperate to leave the club during this upcoming transfer window since being booed by the club’s fans and having a subpar season despite being one of the most talented players in Europe right now.

So, it’s only natural to think that most of the big contenders in Europe right now are going to be really interested in acquiring the talented 23-year-old, as he’s shown since his days at Schalke that he’s set to achieve great things, and he’s a proven game changer at both Bundesliga and the German national team level.

One of the teams that’s reportedly looking to improve their side the most during this upcoming transfer window is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, as the Gunners are keen to win the title for the first time in a very long while during what may actually be the last season of the French boss in charge of the North London team.

Draxler has been linked with the Gunners several times, and considering that his current situation seems quite unsustainable, it’s only normal to think that Wenger’s going to try and do his best effort to sign the talented forward, but would it actually be an accurate move?

Julian Draxler

The 23-year-old is an outstandingly talented player with great versatility and ability with both feet, as he can play on either flank of the offensive end or even behind the striker as an attacking forward, so it wouldn’t be very hard to find him a spot anywhere on any team.

Draxler is having an awful year at Wolfsburg despite being a starter during most of the year, as he’s been unable to either score or assist a goal in eleven appearances so far, and his team is massively struggling as well, currently sitting at the 15th spot of the Bundesliga table.

There’s no doubt in this guy’s talent, and even when he left for Wolfsburg it seemed like he was meant to make a more significative move overseas, and he could provide a huge improvement and boost off the bench for a much needed Arsenal team that lacks depth in that position.

His versatility, his feel for the goal, his vision and his finishing ability make Draxler an outstanding prospect overall on the offensive end, and a change of environment seems to be exactly what he needs to get his career back on track. So yes, they both need each other, so Arsenal should definitely try to pursue him.
