Recent rumors suggest that Arsenal are preparing a shock summer move for Manchester City right back Micah Richards.
City manager Roberto Mancini has already spoken to club chiefs and decided to sell the likes of Richards, Wayne Bridge, Scott Sinclair, Roque Santa Cruz, Maicon, Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri to raise the funds to buy their summer targets.
With Sagna not prepared to extend stay at Emirates and Jenkinson still maturing as a player, it is believed that Arsenal are looking for an experienced right back in the market. Micah Richards whom Arsenal chased few years back is now again a high priority target for Wenger. His versatility will definitely add depth to Arsenal defense.
A move to Arsenal will be good for Richard’s career too as he is struggling to earn a starting place in the Manchester City squad now.
Richards was a youth player at Arsenal before joining Manchester City eight years back. He has made more than 170 appearances for City.
