Arsenal predicted line-up to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League

After enduring one of the worst spells in their history, Arsenal look to have turned the tide in their favour with Mikel Arteta in charge. Since he took over, the Gunners have performed brilliantly.

A squad full of huge talent and potential, they can reach the top-four under the Spaniard’s watch if they carry on the momentum as they travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday to take on London rivals Crystal Palace.

The Gunners are heading into the match on the back of a hard-fought victory over Leeds United in the FA Cup and a win would boost them with some much-needed confidence.

On the other hand, the Eagles have put in some fine displays this season and are one point better off than Arsenal. They would also be hoping to take maximum points out of this match.

The list of injured members for Arteta has been reduced to two with most of them back in training. Only Calum Chambers and Kieran Tierney are set for a long spell on the sidelines. Hector Bellerin is back in full training.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Bernd Leno (GK)

The German has kept just 4 clean sheets so far and would be hoping to add to that. He is the first-choice and will start ahead of Martinez, who started in the FA Cup.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RB)

The 22-year-old has continued to perform well but was left out against Leeds. He is expected to resume duties at right-back unless Arteta decides to bring back Bellerin into the line-up.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (CB)

After a poor display in the first half of the campaign, Sokratis has recovered his form and would be hoping to put in another strong display against the Eagles. He must start ahead of Shkodran Mustafi.

David Luiz (CB)

The Brazilian has made things click at the heart of the defence and his commanding leadership qualities have been displayed to the fullest in the last couple of games. He will be partnering the Greek international as usual.

Sead Kolasinac (LB)

His return from injury will be a huge boost for the team and will be expected to make an impact on the team’s attack, like the way he did against Manchester United. He will retain his spot.

Lucas Torreira (CM)

The Uruguayan was another notable absentee against Leeds but is an undoubted starter for this game. One of the key players in the midfield, he will be expected to make life difficult for Palace’s attack.

Granit Xhaka (CM)

After some difficult moments at the club of late, he looks good under Arteta. He is expected to start alongside Torreira in central midfield.

Nicolas Pepe (RW)

He has been performing well in recent weeks and we can expect him in the starting XI. He should make use of the opportunities and claim a spot for himself as he is capable of working wonders against any side.

Mesut Ozil (AM)

A remarkable turnaround in his approach to the game has helped the Gunners play at a higher level. He will be key to their attacking system and if he performs well for the rest of the season, Arsenal can hope to finish in the top-four.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (LW)

The most consistent player in the squad, Aubameyang can cause damage to any opponent with his pace. He is an undoubted starter.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

The Frenchman will once again play as a lone striker and lead the team in the attack. He should improve his game and add to his tally of 5 goals this term.
