So this is the weekend that most of the Arsenal fans have been waiting for, a clash against the bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. It’s the turn of the North London Derby and what will happen within the 90 minutes could be anyone’s guess. History shows Arsenal are the favorites to win the clash, but at home and the form Gareth Bale is in, there could be a lot of surprises this time.
It is has been revealed that right back Bacary Sagna will not make it up in time for the derby clash and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could surprise everyone with an improvised team. Here is the predicted starting XI including Spurs line-up:
Koscielny was great against Bayern, but it’s natural that Vermaelen is expected to play and Mertesaker could not be benched as well. Given that Bale has been in the form of his life and much has been talked about the potential impact that the Winger can have on the game, should see Arsenal starting the game with an extra midfielder to try and stop the welsh man. Diaby could have been the perfect man, but the midfielder is struggling to recover from his calf problems, so it should be Coquelin either as a right back or a holding midfielder.
