Arsenal Players Are Must, Bale Returns, Think About Mata: Fantasy Premier League Gameweek – 18 Preview

Wigan versus Arsenal, Manchester City against Reading and Swansea facing Manchester United are some of the matches that the Fantasy Premier League managers will be looking forward to this weekend. These matches provide the managers to pick up some important points, given they have right set of players. Santi Cazorla, who ran riot last week and Yaya Toure are among the favorites this week to feature in most of the manager’s midfield section as the suspension of Fellaini calls for an urgent reshuffling of the team’s midfield. Gareth Bale and Jose Enrique are supposed to return this weekend for their respective sides. Some of the points of focus this gameweek are as follows.

With such a dream fix Arsenal players a must

Cazorla and Michu a must have

The Gunners play Wigan this weekend, and although they have a blank gameweek 19, they are hard to miss out right now. Santi Cazorla raked up havoc the previous week and if he is even half good of what he did last week, it would be pretty essential to keep him in the squad. Cazorla is playing a pivotal role in the attacking position of the team and it is highly possible that he repeat his feat in the coming weeks. Although their defense has not shown the potential it should have under Steve Bould, still Gibbs is quite a good option, provided his attacking abilities. So if you want to make an impact in the coming weeks, do not ignore Arsenal from your scheme of things.

Gareth Bale and Jose Enrique return

Bale returns from his injury and is set to take the field against Stoke in the coming match. He has a dream fixture in the coming weeks in the form of Aston Villa, Sunderland, Reading and QPR, a fixture that almost seals his place in the squad of all serious Fantasy Premier League managers. Liverpool defender Jose Enrique also returns to action and faces Fulham, Stoke, QPR and Sunderland in back to back matches. So, he may be a good inclusion in the team, although we are skeptical about his attacking role in the team that once made him a Fantasy Premier League hot property.

Yaya toure, Mata good replacements for Fellaini- Yaya Toure, who has scored in consecutive matches, may become a good replacement for Fellaini, who has been suspended for three weeks for his on filed aggression. Toure is becoming an important part of City’s midfield and is carrying on the linkman role to perfection. Till now he has been transferred in 143,685 times, highlighting his growing importance as a Fantasy Premier League option. The other player who can be brought in as a replacement for Fellaini is Mata, who is showing some form after scoring in Chelsea’s game against Leeds midweek. Chelsea, as a team, has also bettered their position and now seems to displaying some quality football. So Mata is quite a valid replacement for Fellaini and with their other star midfielder’s support can go on to score some good points for his Fantasy Premier League owners.

Puncheon, Taarabt valuable low price options- Jason Puncheon has been the main pillar for Southampton in the midfield area this season and has been quite fluent in front of the goal. Thus he has managed to score good points for his Fantasy Premier League managers, adding another 11 points to his kitty the previous week. It is an additional factor that he is as low priced as £4.8m, making him a very vital player for the team. QPR’s Taarabt is another such player who has been instrumental in the midfield of the team and has looked most likely to score a goal every now and then. He is also very moderately priced at £5.6m and with Newcastle and West Brom as the next two opponents, he can be more than handy in the team. So if you are looking for low priced but utility midfielders, Puncheon and Taarabt can well be your man.
