The Gunners won the game against their London rivals West Ham United in comfortable fashion in a crucial gameweek which saw Manchester City drop 3 points by losing to Burnley at Turf Moor. The 3-0 win marked their 8th Premier League win in 9 games and are in great form to compete for the second spot. Here are the player ratings.

David Ospina : 6.5/10

He had a decent game, nothing spectacular as his team was dominant and West Ham’s attack was pretty average while shooting.

Calum Chambers : 6.5/10

Was consistently caught out of position by Matt Jarvis in the first half. Chambers was pretty adventurous and was very good going forward.

Per Mertesacker : 6.5/10

He had no real challenges and had a decent game without any mistakes at the back. He was good while defending set pieces as well.

Laurent Koscielny : 7/10

He had a good game and was dominant against Sakho, reading him pretty well and consistently proving his worth at the back.

Nacho Monreal : 7/10

Another solid display by the Spaniard and by now, Wenger must be knowing what to expect from him. He has been in good form and a competition to Gibbs now.

Francis Coquelin : 7/10

He was tireless as ever and provided balance to the team by doing the dirty work diligently. His passing was slightly off radar on occasions.

Aaron Ramsey : 7/10

Good, solid display by the Arsenal star. He scored Arsenal’s second to settle the scores in Arsenal’s favour. He was smooth in passing as well.

Mesut Ozil : 6.5/10

He had a good first half as he had plenty of touches and could involve himself well in the game. His influence died down as the game progressed.

Alexis Sanchez : 6/10

An average game according to his early season standards. He would want to be more influential and dynamic like he was earlier.

Theo Walcott : 6/10

He started the game as Wenger decided to give him a run. He made some great runs into space, and got some clear chances which he failed to capitalise on.

Olivier Giroud : 9/10

Man of the match for the Gunners as he stepped up with a well taken goal and an assist. He has been in great form in the past few games and he proved his mettle today.

Subs :

Santi Cazorla : 7/10

He was brought on late, to see the game out. He played well and would hope to be charged up against Monaco, for whom he was rested.

Danny Welbeck : 6/10

A decent run in when he entered the scene. Would probably be a starter in the Champions League.

Mathieu Flamini : 7/10

He came on and played well. He would have enjoyed scoring the goal.
