Facing the jaws of another trophyless season, Arsenal are rumored to sign two Barcelona players Victor Valdes and David Villa to strengthen their squad in Summer.
Victor Valdes to Arsenal (£10 million)
Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes has made it clear that he won’t extend his stay with Barcelona. Arsenal are said to have the biggest interest, looking to put pressure on Wojciech Szczesny who has been out of form lately. Arsene Wenger believes Valdes’ experience will help the team and also to groom Wojciech Szczesny.
David Villa to Arsenal (£15 million)
So the saga continues. Barcelona refused two January bids from Arsenal for David Villa. But if once they get a replacement in summer, Barcelona will be then ready to hear offers for Spain’s top scorer. Athletico Mardid is also interested in the player. Arsenal must make sure they qualify for the champions league to stand any chance of signing any world class players. Villa will still be their top target in next window.
