Arsenal Or Manchester United, Which Side Will Work Better For This Belgian Super Playmaker?

Kevin De Bruyne, the former Chelsea winger who was expected to do many great things at Chelsea never saw his chance at the Stamford Bridge based club and was then sold for a pretty sum by Chelsea to Wolfsburg where he has flourished for the Bundesliga squad.

De Bruyne possesses not only great dribbling skills and vision but he can score a few goals as well and does regularly chip in at Wolfsburg, his performances have caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs again and he is being linked with a move away from the Bundesliga where it seems the only way you can win anything is if you play for Bayern Munich.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with the signature for the young Belgian and we will look at where he would fit in.

A good dribbler and a threat on the wings

De Bruyne primarily plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for his club and country, while he isn’t the best in terms of strength, he has electric pace which he uses to devastating effect while playing.

De Bruyne is a wily character who is very good in the wings, especially when he tries to take on the defender; he also has powerful shooting and is known for some rather great shots and goals in his years as a professional footballer.

Being linked with a big club is part and parcel in this day and age and if we are to speculate about where he could end up, he should move to a club which is more suited to his playing style rather than the one with more money.

He did make a big move to Chelsea but unfortunately he didn’t make it there, right now if he had to decide between Arsenal and Manchester United, he should move to Arsenal purely for the fact that they are more reliant on their wingers doing attacking work than defending for the team. Manchester United have this fascination at the moment with wingbacks and Kevin might be willing to put in a tackle or two but making him or converting him into a wingback is not the way forward for either him or his career.

De Bruyne is known for his great runs and dribbles, shackling him to defend and provide cover to United’s shabby and rather woeful central defensive team. De Bruyne would actually flourish at Arsenal thanks to all the creativity of Sanchez, Cazorla & Ozil, plus the movement of Giroud and Welbeck would help him create more chances and more goals. Arsenal and De Bruyne are a match made in heaven but it coming true might be a bit of a stretch.
