Arsenal Or Manchester United? Which Is The Best Option For This Super German Youngster?

Like the one good joke your friend keeps on repeating and you get irritated when you hear it again and again, the transfer saga of Julian Draxler to a Premier League club has gone one far longer than even the sudden love for German football by hipsters.

Yet again we are getting reports from Germany that Draxler is off to England. Arsenal are the club that seems to have stolen a march on their rivals as they prepare a bid for him. However, the young German endured a rather poor season with Schalke last year and seems set to leave Germany for greener English pastures.

Arsenal have always been keen on signing the youngster, they have been the one club that has been linked with the talented attacker for quite a few seasons and Manchester United are also believed to be interested in signing the super German youngster. So, Which premier league club should he prefer?

A plethora of attacking talent or the star of the show?

The great thing about moving to Arsenal for Draxler would be the chance to play with so many great attackers. The Gunners’ attacking line-up is one of the best in the league thanks to the talents of stars like Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott and Cazorla; he would probably have to fight for a starting place along the wings.

Draxler prefers to play down the wings but is equally adept at playing as an attacking midfielder, based on Arsenal’s line-up one of Ramsey, Ozil or Sanchez would have to sit on the bench. They could also bench Cazorla or Coquelin to accommodate Ramsey and Wilshere in midfield and play Draxler with the rest of the attackers.

While Draxler would enjoy playing with such talented footballers, he would be better suited at another Premier League club at the moment. Manchester United need to have a creative midfielder or even a decent winger to help them out.

Draxler would fit into the United team pretty well, he could play right behind Wayne Rooney and support the striker or he could play down the wing along with Angel Di Maria on the other side. The other factor which could help him shine at United is the fact that he would be the go-to guy at United.

While Arsenal have a multitude of options in attack, which would reduce the workload on Draxler, he would prefer to be in the limelight, like he has been at Schalke for so many years. Manchester United need someone who can create something out of nothing and Draxler is the man for that. United would have to shell out quite a lot of money to get the German at the club, but they have the bank balance to get the players they want.
