“Arsenal had scouted him earlier”, we have heard this many times from Arsene Wenger when it comes to star players. The Gunners were always a good scout but were unable to complete deals for several of today’s superstars.
However looks like Arsenal are not taking any chances this time. ESPN Brasil has reported that Arsene Wenger has made and official bid for Gabriel Barbosa who is touted as the “new Neymar” by the media. The Gunners tried to sign Jamie Vardy but since the player rejected Arsenal offer, the club has now turned their attention to this 19 year old Brazilian.
Gabriel has offers from China but he is more interested in joining Arsenal. He also has revealed that there are interest from other top clubs from Europe but the decision will lie with Santos and his parents. He has scored over 50 goals in the last three seasons and has been selected in the national team.
