Amongst all the transfer frenzy that has been going around, there is one crucial matter that the Arsenal board has to take care, Arsene Wenger’s contract extension. It is believed that Arsenal have opened contract talks with Arsene Wenger in a hope to extend another three years as Paris St Germain are looking to lure Wenger to France.

Although the extension will take place after the player transfer season wraps up, the officials have confirmed that they are keen to set up the team right now, so that they can compete for the crowns.

The Frenchman is now the longest serving manager of the English Premier League and one of the pillars behind the success of the club. But off late, the Emirates faithful have wanted his head after his repeated failure to bring silverware which now stands at 8 long years. Having said that, if he goes ahead with his promise of spending big in this transfer window, once again he will become the adored figure of one and all.

In other news, striker Nicolas Bendtner long awaited move to find a permanent club is still on the wire as the Danish striker is reportedly finding it difficult to accept personal terms with clubs. Last week, it was reported that German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are closing in on Bendtner and are willing to pay as much as £4 for his signature. However, Bendtner had to take a pay cut of £800,000 per year pay to join the German side, which ultimately meant that the transferred failed.

Now, Spanish club Malaga have shown interest in the Bendtner, but again the Dane is struggling to agree personal terms with the Spanish club. According to Spanish daily AS, Bendtner was in Malaga on Friday to hold talks. Although, Bendtner’s demands are not clearly revealed, it is believed that Malaga are ready to pay the Gunners around £2.5m should they reach agreement with Bendtner.

Bendtner has spent time on loan at Birmingham City and Sunderland since joining the London outfit in 2004 and played his trade in the Serie A last season as he spent the whole season on loan at Serie A champions Juventus. However, failing to find regular game time has left the Dane with desperation to find a new club which will promise him quality first team action.
