Arsenal Injury Updates: Walcott, Wilshere And Others

Walcott

According to sports journalist Sarah Shephard, who today interviewed Theo Walcott for Sport Magazine, the player confirmed he’d be fit for the weekend clash with Norwich at the Emirates. The pacey winger has been out of action for three weeks after sustaining a pelvis injury in training while on international duty.

Wilshere

He has an outside chance to feature against Norwich but given the form of Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey the Wenger may feel he has enough options to continue resting his young midfielder.

Abou Diaby And Ryo

Both will be out for a long time. In his latest interview, Steve Bould said: “We just have Ryo and Abou out for the long-term so things are looking good in terms of availability.”

Suspensions:

Per Mertesacker who picked up a red card in the Gunner’s 2-1 win against the Baggies on the weekend. Mertesacker will now serve a one game suspension.
