Arsenal Final Squad Released For New York Red Bulls Game: Big Names Still Missing

Arsenal are all set for their first ever trip to the USA. The Gunners have already landed in New York and the official squad list for the game against Henry’s New York Red Bulls have been announced. The announcement came via Red Bulls’ official website and understandably there are quite a lot of big names missing in the list.

The Germans Mertesacker, Podolski and Ozil will be returning late and will probably join the squad after the community shield match against Manchester City. However, the French International’s Giroud, Koscielny & new signing Debuchy’s names along with youngsters Sanogo and Benik Afobe are missing, which would be a sign of worry for the New York based Arsenal fans. Albeit they are blessed to witness their king take on their favourite team right in front of their eyes.

This is the final cut:

  • Goalkeepers: Damien Martinez, Wojciech Szczesny
  • Defenders: Hector Bellerin, Kieran Gibbs, Isaac Hayden, Carl Jenkinson, Ignasi Miquel, Nacho Monreal
  • Midfielders: Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Abou Diaby, Mathieu Flamini, Kristoffer Olsson, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Jon Toral, Jack Wilshere, Gedion Zelalem
  • Forward: Chuba Akpom
