Not exactly what the fans expected or wanted. It was a really quiet day at the Emirates on transfer deadline day and the Gooners were in shock, as everyone expected that Arsene Wenger would surely invest the funds in hand on yet another striker. Despite that, many fans of the north London side are not really too surprised at this as well.
Whether it’s a well calculated move or a lack of ambition in the red half of north London, it is not really clear yet.
It could also be that the board believes that if they can win the FA Cup twice consecutively, they wan can win the league this year without adding too many players.
Some of the club’s fans really voiced their opinions on Twitter, after being disappointed that no more signings were made, before the 6pm cut off time.
As of now, Petr Cech is the only summer arrival and we have selected a few tweets from Arsenal fans to show you how they feel about the transfer window.
