A breathtaking match at the Emirates saw the Gunners ease past Everton to book their place in a Wembley semi-final. A well struck shot by underfire Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners an early lead but Everton levelled it through a devastating counter attack which saw Lukaku score from a tap in. However, a second half brace from substitute Giroud and a Penalty by Mikel Arteta, helped Arsenal to a 4-1 win against Roberto Martinez’s team.
This will be Arsenal’s 27th appearance in an FA Cup semi-final and certainly an important one considering their situations in other competitions. 2 wins away from an elusive silverware that has been dodging them since their 2005 FA Cup win. Arsenal fans as you would expect were more than happy seeing their team finally getting a positive result in recent weeks.
