Arsenal Daily: Wenger Talks About Everton, Walcott And Koscielny Injury

After yesterday’s draw, the point gap between Arsenal and Everton still remains as one point. Probably not a bad result for both the clubs but Everton will feel they were unlucky not to win the game. After the game, Arsene Wenger talked about the game and also gave injury updates about his players. He said,

Wenger: A good point gained

A good point gained…

“Overall, if I look back at the game, it was  physical intensity. We had a good start and after that I felt Everton came back. Their direct gameplay was always a threat with Fellaini. We have regrets on the goal we conceded but overall, I believe that 1-1 is a fair result. It’s a good point here and it was a game of remarkable intensity at goodison park. We had a few good chances in the first half where we didn’t play the final ball. In the second half as well, on two or three counter attacks we really could have been a bit more clinical. But I cannot fault the spirit and the effort we put in.”

League title…

“At the moment, in the Premier League, we have played 14 games, eight away. We have played all top teams away from home. If we play well at home, we have a chance to come back.”

On Walcott…

“Theo Walcott was injured. He was not 100 per cent in the second half. He got a little bit injured on his ankle.”

Koscielny Injury…

“That’s a groin strain. Probably three weeks.”
