Even though Arsenal signed Podolski and Giroud to replace Robin van Persie, they were quite different in style from the elegant Dutchman. Podolski is more of a wide player and Giroud is a classic center forward. But what Arsenal need is a multipurpose striker who can score, play make and also track back when necessary. It is believed that Wenger consider Fiorentina front man Stevan Jovetic as a long-term RVP replacement.
According to Italian website Football Italia, Arsenal are preparing a £20m bid for Jovetic’s services. Arsenal will only make the bid at the end of the transfer window to reduce the competition and rise of the player’s price.
Jovetic may leave Fiorentina as they have already signed Guiseppe Rossi from Villarreal as his potential replacement.
Manchester city and Juventus are also monitoring Jovetic who scored eight times in Serie A this season. Is Jovetic the real RVP replacement, vote in the poll (below)
