According to French newspapers, Arsenal are in advanced talks with St. Etienne to sign their influential midfielder Josuha Guilavogui before the transfer window closes in next few days.
With the latest injury to Arteta, Arsenal are desperate to sign some midfielders in the market to increase their squad depth and increase their chance to give a challenge for the premier league title.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a long term admirer of Guilavogu who is touted as “Next Patrick Vieira”.
Guilavogui was one of St. Etienne’s top performer last season as he almost guided them to champions league as they finished fifth on the last day of the league season.
He is defensively strong and has good long passes. He is versatile enough to play multiple positions in the pitch.
Other top clubs like Monaco and PSG are also monitoring the situation around Guilavogui’s camp. But Arsenal are believed to be the favorites in the race for the midfielder’s signature.
