Arsenal Chief Share Holder Kroenke Ranked No. 6 on ‘Most Powerful People in Sports’ List

Arsenal’s majority shareholder Kroenke ranked at no 6th position in a “50 Most Powerful People in Sports,” list published by Sports Illustrated.

Kroenke owns not just Arsenal but also the Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rapids taking total worth of his sports properties to $4 billion which is higher than any other sports investors in Europe.

There were some rumors about him selling his Arsenal shares to an Arab consortium, but Arsenal communications director Mark Gonnella contradicted that Kroenke has long term plans with Arsenal and will not sell his shares.

He said,

“Stan Kroenke is committed to Arsenal for the long term and has no intention of selling his stake,”

“There has been no contact from any potential investors,”

Kroenke was also listed at No. 248 position in Forbes’ 2013 list of the world’s billionaires with $5 billion in net worth.

Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, took the top spot this year as NFL brings in more than $9 billion in annual revenue.
