Arsenal defensive crisis has begun even before the season has started. The Gunners are looking to add more defenders to their rank and while several names have been linked the latest report from the Sun says that the Gunners are on the brink of a signing.
According to the report, the club is forcing their way to sign Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia for a reported fee of £20 million. The Gunners are almost done with finalizing the deal and while they are about to set the date of the transfer and a medical, the defender is unlikely to be ready to feature against Liverpool on the opening day. A major hint was received when Mustafi missed out Valencia’s match against Nigeria all-star.
Wenger was not planning to sign a defender initially and rather focus on a striker but after the injury of Gabriel and Mertersacker, the Frenchman has been forced to act. Not that the fans will be unhappy with this purchase, though.
