Napoli player Kalidou Koulibaly has angered the Serie A club with his comments during a press conference.
The player has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea for some time now and the interest by the Blues was not ignored by the player, who during the aforementioned press conference indicated that he is not happy at the Serie A club and may move in the summer.
“The player has a further three years left on his contract and he will not move from here, I am so angry with him, he has surprised me because I thought he was a boy that was above the rest. Obviously he has not read well his contracts. I am not referring to those from the employee, but to the sale of image rights. For two days I get calls from companies with whom we negotiate for more activities that would also involved Koulibaly. Millions and millions of Euros of which will have to compensate me.”- Aurelio Di Laurentiis
Aurelio Di Laurentiis, Napoli president, expressed his disappointment and anger following the comments made by the player. Stating that the player still has three more years on his contract with the club and also talking about the player’s image rights, Laurentiis expressed his anger with the player.
After this outburst in the press seems obvious that Koulibaly may end up moving out of the club this summer, as the Serie A club do seem in need of the money for which they will have to cash in on the player.
