According to the latest reports from Denmark, Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Corneliuss. Arsenal scouts watched him in action on Friday night fuelling rumours about a potential summer move to Emirates.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has impressed many top clubs this season by scoring 16 goals. Premier league leaders Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the center forward.
When questioned about Arsenal’s interest after the game, the player admitted, “It is a huge pat on the back.”
It is believed that a fee in the region of £5million will be enough to secure a deal for the 6ft 4in striker but the Gunners face strong competition from United who could also launch a bid in the summer.
This season, Arsenal are struggling to score goals against bigger opponents. Addition of Corneliuss will be a real boost to this Arsenal squad which currently have only one pure center forward – Giroud.
