Sources close to Arsenal suggest that they are just few weeks away from signing Loic Remy from relegation favorites QPR. Arsenal will also benefit from a relegation clause in his contract which reduces the transfer money to just 6 millions pounds.
Arsenal considered a move for Remy in January transfer window, but pulled away at the last minute due to his injury concerns. QPR signed him. He has scored 5 goals in 8 games for QPR including a stunner against Wigan last weekend.
Remy may have missed three weeks of action with a hamstring strain, but he managed the physical demands of the English Premier League well – which may have convinced Wenger to bring the former Marseille man to Emirates.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Jovetic from Fiorentina. It will be a great boost for Arsenal if they can manage to sign both Jovetic and Remy in Summer. Even any one of the two will be good for the North London club.
