Arsenal And Man Utd Stars To Miss Out – Predicted France Line-up To Face England In The International Friendly

Predicted France Lineup To Face England In International Friendly

Didier Deschamps was stunned late in the previous game as Toivonen’s awareness saw them drop all three points in their group stage game of the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden recently. But they have a chance to restore some pride when they welcome the Three Lions to the Stade de France on Tuesday for an international friendly.

The English side is fresh from a draw against Scotland and though this game has little meaning to it, Gareth Southgate will want to make a statement and so will go with a strong lineup. But France also has some serious depth in the squad and are also expected to play a star-studded lineup. Here is the lineup Deschamps might field for this tie:

Probable France XI:

GK – Hugo Lloris

Despite a howler to gift Sweden all three points, the Tottenham captain will start in goal yet again.

RB – Djibril Sidibe

Though he did not have a great game against Sweden, Sidibe has been excellent for his domestic club and is expected to get another chance at right-back.

CB – Laurent Koscielny

The Arsenal man is easily one of the best players in this position in Europe and should keep his place in the side to face England.

Laurent Koscielny

CB – Samuel Umtiti

The Barcelona man was a beast in La Liga last season and deserves to start this game, giving Raphael Varane a much-needed break.

LB – Lucas Digne

Benjamin Mendy was superb against Sweden but he could be rested, thus giving Digne a chance to prove himself.

CM – N’Golo Kante

The Chelsea star was an unused substitute in the game against Sweden and he is expected to start in the midfield for France in this tie.

CM – Adrien Rabiot

Giving Paul Pogba and Blaise Matuidi a much-needed rest, PSG star Rabiot is expected to partner Kante in the midfield against England.

N’Golo Kante

RW – Moussa Sissoko

The Spurs star has just not been able to find his form in the Premier League and was also lethargic in the previous game. But Deschamps should stick with him, to try and let him find some form before the all-important games begin.

LW – Thomas Lemar

The AS Monaco winger was exceptional in the domestic season and deserves to get a chance to prove himself for the national side.

ST – Kylian Mbappe

The 18-year old is the most exciting youngster in Europe at the moment and deserves to start for France in this tie.

ST – Alexandre Lacazette

Relieving Griezmann and Giroud of their duties should be Lyon hitman Lacazette, who was an unused substitute in the loss against Sweden.

Here is how France could line up:
