Millions of pounds being paid to do the thing that you want to do, the sports cars, the big mansions and tons of pretty women. Being a footballer, especially in Europe is something that most of us would love to become but sadly that is not the case. There are a lucky few who get to play the game, earn bucket loads of money and yet frustrate their fans, despite having a wealth of talent and ability all they can do is get on their fans’ nerves and make them question, ‘What the #%^@%# is he doing?’.
Right now we present the three most annoying and frustrating footballers in the Premier League, this isn’t a personal vendetta, it really does irk a lot of people watching these stars almost end up doing nothing on the pitch.
Mario Balotelli
Could there be any other player on the top of this list apart from Mario? The talented Italian has never played to his potential and his move to Liverpool has failed spectacularly but the reality is that he has never been that great for any club he has played for, except in his first season for Milan.
Balotelli, no doubt has a ton of ability but he never really has shown them on the pitch, especially not this season and was rather seen as a Liverpool social media account handler thanks to his fantastic Instagram account, maybe that is the career option he sees for himself now?
Jesus Navas
Speed, speed and more speed, at one time, long ago, Jesus Navas was the winger everyone wanted to do. Fast and accurate with his passing and crossing, he was a dangerous player at Sevilla. When he transferred to Manchester City, it was expected to a great move for him, especially since he would be working with Pelligrini.
The only thing Navas has done so far in his Manchester City career is run, he looks nothing like that attacking threat we would see at Sevilla and should rather spend his time preparing for the Spanish athletic team than play football, who knows he might be able to beat Usain Bolt down the length of a football pitch.
Olivier Giroud
Dr Jekyll or Mr. Hyde? That is a question that Arsenal fans would have been asking themselves about Olivier Giroud, especially this season. The French attacker sometimes scores goals for fun during a game and other times, he just goes walkabout and plays like a Sunday league player, remember the Monaco fixture Arsenal fans?
That is the major problem for Arsene Wenger as Giroud is undoubtedly talented but is incredibly inconsistent but once he gets into a rhythm, there is no stopping him. Hopefully for Arsenal fans, next season we will see the best of Giroud all the time in the league and not have to deal with the horrible misses he fashions out in certain games of the season.
