Arsenal and Fulham offered Dutch International: ‘deal could be done in the next few days’ reports Metro.
Holland keeper Maarten Steklenburg has been offered to a number of English Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, after loan signing Mauro Goicoechea moved ahead of him in Roma’s pecking order.
The Metro report: ‘According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Stekelenburg has been offered to both Arsenal and Fulham for a cut-price £3.5million, and a deal could be done in the next few days.’
The clubs have been offered the Dutch International for just £3.5million if the Italian source is to believed, a bargain for whatever club signs him up. Arsenal are searching for experienced competition for Woijech Szczesny and Steklenburg, 30, would be just that.
Alvaro Negredo to England ?
Sevilla and Spanin striker Alvaro Negredo who’s been liked with Tottenham and Chelsea has admitted a desire to play in the Premier League.
“The Premier League is a great competition, I really like it and I think my style of football would be well-suited to it,”
“There comes a time when a cycle comes to an end and I don’t know whether my time will be sooner or later. I haven’t thought about it a lot but I wouldn’t mind playing abroad.”
It appears that Sevilla would want i the region of £18million for Negredo.

Nuri Sahin will remain at Liverpool
Sahin who is on loan from Madrid, has been rumored with his former employers Borussia Dortmund. However, Dortmund general manager Michael Zorc has rejected rumours that on-loan Liverpool midfielder Nuri Sahin is to re-sign for Dortmund.
Talking about the transfer rumours, he said:
“I have also read about it,” he said. “It’s a Daily Mail story. They also reported that Sven Bender was to head to Manchester United.
“I am not responsible for every rumour and don’t want to comment on it. It’s all too much. With the Internet we have three possible new squad members every day. This would add up to 100 players someday. You cannot fight those rumours, we have to live with the fact that we are permanently involved in speculations.”
Sahin Return ? “Those stories are nonsense and baloney. I’ve said 130 times there is no truth to it.”
