Last week, few reports from Spain claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing Sami Khedira from Real Madrid in January. If signed, he will become the second Real Madrid player (after Ozil) to join the Gunners in recent times.
Now the latest rumors reveals that Chelsea are also planning to join the race to sign the German midfielder. Even though Chelsea have tremendous depth in their squad, they still lack a midfield destroyer who can keep opponent midfield at bay during the games. Out of favor Mikel was already dropped from champions league squad for group stages. Ramires is still maturing and not physical enough to dominate midfield battles all alone.
Sami Khedira who is box-to-box type player with good defensive skills. He has everything what Jose expects. Since Mourinho managed him at Madrid, it will be easy for him to convince Khedira to join the Blues.
Premier league defending champions Manchester United may also join this transfer battle. United made a desperate bid for Khedira in Summer which was rejected instantly by Madrid. So, there is a possibility that they may comeback for their target in the next window.
Can Ozil convince Khedira to join him at Emirates?, or will he rejoin Mourinho at Chelsea?, or will Red Devils steal him, or will he stay with Madrid? We need to wait till January to find out answers for these questions.
