Yannick Bolasie is a perfect fit for the Villans
Aston Villa have made an impressive start to their Championship campaign winning two games and drawing the last two. The Villans are currently in 5th place and are one of the early favourites for the playoff rounds.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has instilled a sense of confidence in the team and this just might be the season for the Villans to make their way back into the Premier League. Lucky for them, the club can still complete loan deals to bolster their squad.
And that’s exactly what Bruce has done. According to BBC, Aston Villa are close to completing a loan move for the Everton winger in the coming days. Steve Bruce’s side already snapped up Lille winger Anwar El Ghazi and will be overjoyed once the club completes the deal for the Everton winger as well.
Bolasie joined the Toffees from Crystal Palace in 2016 for a fee of around £25million on a five-year contract. But injuries impacted his career and Bolasie was soon on the treatment table. The Republic of Congo international has only been able to muster a total of 29 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, scoring just 2 goals.
A move to Aston Villa would provide the winger some time away from the Premier League limelight and a chance to reignite his career. Bolasie is a skilled and talented player. He has proven it during his time at Selhurst Park.
When fit and firing, he is a devastating winger to come up against. Using his blistering pace and silky skills, Bolasie can effortlessly beat defenders. He is generally deployed as a left-winger but is also comfortable playing on the right flank. The winger can also be deployed as a false 9.
Bolasie is capable of playing in a number of systems and formations as well. He would very much suit Steve Bruce’s quick-football philosophy. Albert Adomah currently plays on the left flank for Aston Villa but the arrival of Bolasie should see him take the role ahead of the 30-year-old.
His presence along with Jack Grealish’s midfield masterclass would make the Villans a tough team to stop going forward.

According to BBC, Middlesbrough were also said to be interested in the player, but the Villans are close to signing him. Steve Bruce should certainly complete the deal as soon as possible. Bolasie would provide a massive boost in their bid for Premier League return.
