Arbeloa, who started his career with Madrid before moving to Deportivo La Coruna in 2006, has been a first-team regular since joining from Liverpool in 2009. The right back also became a regular starter for Spain, which he helped win a second straight European Championship last month.

It is beleived that Arbeloa has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the santiago bernabeu until 2016, but Madrid did not release financial details of the deal.
