Antonio Conte To Make 3 Massive Changes – Strongest 3-4-3 Chelsea Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town

Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea fell to an embarrassing loss to local rivals West Ham United at the weekend, as a solitary goal from Marko Arnautovic had no reply from the Blues. They did manage to hold on to their 3rd spot in the points table but cannot afford to drop any more points in their bid to finish in the top-4.

They are back in action this mid-week as they travel to the Kirklees Stadium, to face a Huddersfield Town side, that have been solid when playing in front of their home crowd. They have lost just twice at home this season and are sure to give Chelsea a run for their money in this game.

Team News

Danny Drinkwater is nearing a return but this game might be too early for him but David Luiz, who has lost his place in the first team, is still out with a knee injury. They remain the only absentees for Chelsea. A three-man midfield has not been effective for Chelsea, which might see the manager go with 3 attackers for this game.

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Antonio Conte

GK – Thibaut Courtois

Had a rather easy night at the London Stadium and will hope to have a similar outing, with a vastly different result.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard is one of the first names on the team sheet for Conte and should keep his place in the backline.

CB – Thomas Christensen

The youngster has not done too much wrong this season and is expected to start at the heart of the defence for Chelsea.

Cesar Azpilicueta

CB – Antonio Rudiger

Cahill was the weak link for Chelsea last game and should be replaced by Rudiger, who needs to find some consistency.

RWB – Victor Moses

Chelsea missed him in the first-half against West Ham and Conte cannot take a chance by leaving him out of the first-team again.

CM – N’Golo Kante

Against West Ham, the French international saw more of the ball than any other Chelsea player and will hope to make more of it in this game, which could be very similar to the one against the Hammers.

CM – Cesc Fabregas

The Spaniard was out of sorts at the weekend but should retain his place in the side to add some creativity to Chelsea’s midfield.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

Like most of his teammates, he struggled against a gritty West Ham side but will hope to have a better outing this time around against the Terriers.

Alvaro Morata

RW – Pedro

The Spanish winger came off the bench at halftime against the Hammers but should be given a chance to start here, as Chelsea search for a victory.

LW – Eden Hazard

The Belgian failed to weave his wand of magic on that game but he will be the danger man for Huddersfield, when Chelsea travel to the Kirklees.

ST – Alvaro Morata

Struggled all game against a solid defensive unit of West Ham but might find more space and time on the ball against David Wagner’s men, in this game.

Here is how Chelsea might line up:
