Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has caught everyone’s eyes this season having scored 6 goals and bagged 2 assists in 13 appearances for the Serie A side. Dybala is dubbed by the media as the ‘next Sergio Aguero’ because of the similarities (playing style) he shares with the Manchester City forward. He is currently linked with a host of premier league clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
It looks like Arsenal are winning the race to sign the rising star as Dybala openly admitted that it would be great to play for Arsenal.
He said in an recent interview,
“To know that someone like that thinks highly of me fills me with pride. I can’t deny that going to Arsenal and playing in the Premier League would be great, but at the moment I’m a Palermo player. Different news stories keep coming out, but my thoughts are only occupied by Torino at the weekend. All goal is to stay up, I can’t allow myself to be distracted from that.”
Main road block for the gunners is Palermo’s asking price of £31m, which is very high for a rising player with less experience and unproven in premier league. If Arsenal negotiators can manage a bargain, then there is a high possibility that we can see ‘the next Aguero’ playing his trade in Arsenal colors very soon.
