Alli Out, Kane And Winks To Start – Strongest 3-4-2-1 Tottenham Line-up To Face Arsenal In The North London Derby

Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face Arsenal In The Premier League On Saturday

After a narrow win over Crystal Palace in the last round of the Premier League before the international break, Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this weekend, in the North London derby, the biggest local rivalry in the capital city, as they travel to the Emirates to face 6th placed Arsenal this weekend. The Gunners are still healing from a loss to Man City, which was demoralising, but a win in this game against their arch-rivals can surely push them back into contention for a place in the top-4.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side also have a Champions League encounter to worry about later next week but the manager is expected to field his strongest XI for this high-profile clash.

Team News

Shot-stoppers Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are both out injured alongside Victor Wanyama, Toby Alderweireld and Eric Lamela, who are all ruled out. English trio Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Harry Kane were all dropped from the England national squad and are expected to be fit to face Arsenal this weekend.

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

GK – Paulo Gazzaniga

With both Lloris and Vorm out injured, Gazzaniga, who had a tremendous outing against the Eagles last time around, is expected to keep his place for this game.

CB – Eric Dier

The Englishman was the skipper for his national side during the break and will be high on confidence, playing as a part of the backline.

CB – Davinson Sanchez

The youngster made two starts for Colombia during the international break and should start at the heart of the back-3 for Spurs this weekend.

CB – Jan Vertonghen

With Alderweireld out injured, Vertonghen will be the senior in this backline and will have to be at his best against the likes of Ozil and Lacazette.

RWB – Kieran Trippier

Though Aurier has been effective, Pochettino should stick with Trippier on the right flank, to add some stability to the side against the likes of Sanchez.

CM – Harry Winks

The youngster is still not declared completely fit but having missed the action for more than 10 days now, he is expected to be back in contention and should start in the midfield for Spurs.

CM – Mousa Dembele

The Belgian international remains one of the most important players in the club and should partner the young Winks in the middle of the park.

LWB – Danny Rose

The English ace got just a few minutes under his belt late in the second game at Wembley during the break and will be raring to go this weekend.

RW – Christian Eriksen

The hero for Denmark during the qualifiers, Eriksen scored a hat-trick to take his country to the World Cup finals and could be the danger man for Tottenham in this fixture.

LW – Heung Min-Son

Alli has not been declared fit yet, and if he would start if he recovers in time. However, Pochettino has the option of using Son on the left wing, who scored a brace against Colombia earlier in the break.

ST – Harry Kane

The English striker was not a part of the Three Lions squad that faced Brazil or Germany last week but is expected to be fit for this tie and will have to be kept quiet if Arsenal are to take anything from this game.
