Allardyce To Make 2 Important Changes – Strongest 3-1-4-2 Everton Line-up To Face Bournemouth

Predicted Everton Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League

Everton visit the South coast to lock horns with 17th placed Bournemouth. Both teams have a common target despite heading in different directions at the moment. On one side, Everton are looking strong, well structured and full of confidence whereas on the other, the Cherries have been playing attractive football which has been let down by their defence. A huge boost for the Merseyside club is their recent defensive record where they have conceded just 2 goals in the last 7 league games. Big Sam faces another test in order to extend his unbeaten run.

Team News

Wayne Rooney missed out on the last two games due to illness but is reportedly about to return for this one. Idrissa Gueye is still out due to a hamstring injury.

Leighton Baines has suffered a setback and will take more time to return. James McCarthy and Ross Barkley aren’t far away from a first-team return.

Probable Everton XI

Formation: 3-1-4-2

This will be a different formation considering the fact that Wayne Rooney is back and Yannick Bolasie is available as well. However, the main intention would be to stay as tight as possible defensively, a tactic that has been clearly visible in their previous 0-0 stalemates against Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion. However, Sigurdsson might move into his favoured position behind the striker whereas the magical Bolasie could occupy the left flank as the game goes on.

Manager: Sam Allardyce

Jordan Pickford (GK)

The acrobatic, sharp shot-stopper will start in goal. He has been outstanding as ever in the past month and a half or so as he has come to his team’s rescue quite often.

Michael Keane (LCB)

Keane is a sharp tackler, doesn’t commit to tackles too often and uses the ‘safety first’ option, just what Big Sam loves from his centre-backs.

Ashley Williams (CB)

Williams is strong and does a good job while marking the counter-attacking threat of the opposition side. Offensively too, he is a menace while chasing and set-pieces.

Michael Keane

Phil Jagielka (RCB)

After being rested for the previous game, he will be back – stronger, fresher and bright-eyed.

Morgan Schneiderlin (CDM)

The ex-Southampton lad sits deep, wins the ball back and releases players by switching the play or playing one-touch football. He always reads the game exceptionally well.

JonJoe Kenny (RWB)

Kenny has been excellent while running down the pitch to aid the attackers. He is brimming with confidence, which is clearly visible in one on one situations and in his delivery.

Wayne Rooney (CM)

Rooney should play much deeper, dictate the play and run into the box whenever the ball is fed to the wider areas.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CM)

The midfield maestro has come to life since the arrival of Big Sam. If he can repeat performances such as those against Swansea and Newcastle, the fans could be in for some delightful football. For the Iceland international, consistency is key.

Wayne Rooney

Cuco Martina (LWB)

Offers a lot going forward, wins the ball back in key positions and is looking good in his unfavoured left wing-back position.

Yannick Bolasie (ST)

If he gets back to his best, Everton would destroy any side on the counter. Bolasie has got all the skills, tricks, flicks and the pace to hurt a side. When he strikes them, they stay hit.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (ST)

The youngster plays with great willingness to win the ball back, press the defenders and also holding up the play. He is very composed while finishing too.
