Alan Pardew Says, “Tim Krul is One Of The Best Goal Keepers In England”

Newcastle United stunned Tottenham at white hart lane by securing a surprising away victory. Remy scored the only goal of the game. But it was Newcastle’s goal keeper Tim Krul who produced a supermanish performance that saved the day for the toons.

Tottenham did all they can to break the goal keepers’ resilience, but the waves of shots by the men in white was still not enough to bypass Tim Krul’s gloves. Krul tipped over efforts from Paulinho, Roberto Soldado and also saved shots from Christian Eriksen and Gylfi Sigurdsson with his legs.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew praised Tim Krul’s super performance and touted the dutch goal keeper as one of the best goalkeepers in the premier league.

Pardew: I think he is one of the best in the league

Alan Pardew said,

“He has done a few good ones for us, Tim,”

“I think he is the best Dutch goalkeeper for sure and I think he is one of the best in the league.”

Krul himself admitted that his performance against spurs is easily the highlight of his career so far.

Dutch goalkeeper commented,

“The first save was the best – Soldado’s header.

“The sun was low and it kick-started from there. Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa put his life on the line to clear one – it shows the commitment, from the back five to the strikers.

“This is the highlight of my career. It was nice to celebrate with the back four. These kind of games don’t happen very often. It was a great result.

“I think we have played better – against Sunderland we played well and lost. If we keep a clean sheet we can win games.”
