West Brom v Ipswich Town Report: West Brom match report
West Brom lost further ground on the top two as they could only manage to play out a 1-1 draw at home to bottom club Ipswich Town. The Baggies got a perfect start, with Stefan Johansen scoring in the fourth minute, but Jon Nolan equalised for the tractor boys.
As a result of that performance, West Brom manager Darren Moore has now been sacked.
The home side looked on course to return to winning ways after being humbled by Leeds United last week when Johansen’s free-kick was deflected into the back of the net.
They had enough chances to seal the points in the first half but the Ipswich keeper was on his game and the finishing was slightly off the
The visitors then made sure to heap misery on the Baggies when they scored the equalising goal through Nolan, who headed Gwion Edwards’ cross into the back of the net.
After that, the Tractor Boys did enough to stop the hosts from creating clear-cut openings towards the goal.
That draw leaves West Brom nine points behind the automatic promotion places and now the manager has been sacked.
Here’s how their fans reacted after the game (these tweets were made Moore was sacked):
After that absolute shambles Moore has to go.. we were second best the majority of that game to a team that has won 3 games all season, you can see other than passing out from the back – which he refuses to let go of, that there’s no tactics or any kind of shape at all.. clueless

Key players out or not, that team should be good enough to beat a side cut adrift at the bottom of the league. Some of these players need to take a good long look at themselves. Clearly haven’t got the fight or bottle to win promotion

#mooreout absolute joke of a manager were just wasting players potentials. Stupid sub decisions. Looks like were staying here for the next 6 seasons

I love the bloke for restoring some pride when we got relegated but we have stagnated at a very, very alarming rate!! Sorry, but Moore is completely out of his depth and doesn’t have the fight in him for the challenge of getting us promoted. Can’t defend for shit. Please walk

Dominated by Ipswich Town. A team that are seeing League One football next season. Absolute joke. Darren Moore has to go.
