A rare picture of Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny back in 2004 at the training center of Guingamp FC. Looks like the defender is studying in case his footballing career didn’t work out, but of course it did and he is now one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Koscielny kick started his senior career at Guingamp, a tier 3 football club at France before moving to Tours at the start of the 2007 season and finally ended up at Lorient who were promoted to the first division when the defender joined them. However, after just one season at Lorient, Arsene Wenger convinced Koscielny to join Arsenal, and the rest as they say is history.
