A Dream West Ham Line Up To Start This Season, And A Realistic One That Slaven Bilic Might Line Up

West Ham United certainly was one of the clubs that made the right kind of noise in the Premier League last season. The manager, players and the fans were all on song for the club, had they done a little better and been more consistent during the final stages of the season, the Hammers could have been playing in the Champions League.

The Europa League will have to do this season and all eyes will be on one man, Dimitri Payet, who seems to be getting better with each game that he plays. The former Marseille man was West Ham’s best attacker last season and he should be the one who should take them to the next level.

Slaven Bilic though would have gotten an idea or two in his head about who he is going to bring into the team this season and some of the stars that have been linked with a move to the new Olympic Stadium for the London club should make the mouth water for Hammer fans.

We look at just what a dream line-up for West Ham United could look like this season should they sign every player they are being linked with,

Dream line-up for West Ham United

The goalkeeping department should still feature the likes of Adrian between the sticks. The Spanish keeper was one of the more consistent players in his position and it isn’t a surprise to not see West Ham being linked with a move for another goalkeeper.

The defence could have been the place for Bilic to work on but it seems he is happy with the defence from last season, though Carl Jenkinson has returned back to Arsenal this season. The left back for the side would be Aaron Cresswell while the right back should see the youngster Sam Byram getting a proper run out for the club.

The heart of the defence should still feature Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna as even the likes of James Tomkins has been sold by the club.

In this dream line-up, it is the attack that mostly gets revamped but the midfield should feature one of the old boys in Mark Noble leading the charge with Cheikhou Kouyate. The attack though would be a completely different side from last season as the club have been linked with a move for James Rodriguez, yes, the same player who starred for Colombia in the World Cup and Copa America.

While J-Rod would play just ahead of the midfielders in a central role, he would have a trio of attackers to support. While Dimitri Payet could be playing on one side of the attack, another star would be playing wide as well and that is Carlos Tevez.

Although the Argentine isn’t ready to move back to West Ham, he would have been a great option to play out wide and cut inside to help his side out. The Hammers have been trying hard to bring in a quality striker and that player has been Carlos Bacca of AC Milan.

The Colombian would form a great pairing with James Rodriguez but alas, this is just a dream line-up for the Hammers.

Realistic line-up for West Ham United

The goalkeeper and defence don’t change at all in the realistic line-up for this season. The midfield should still see Mark Noble in the side but it would probably be Michail Antonio alongside him with Manuel Lanzini also playing a role in the midfield trio but in a more advanced role.

Dimitri Payet will still be the main man for West Ham next season and he would be pulling the strings for the side. The French attacker would have one target man to hit and that would be Andy Carroll but the final spot in the team should fall to Enner Valencia, who can play out wide to help the attack next season.

West Ham still have time to make a big move for a player or two but the Hammers really have to work hard to ensure they get the targets they really want.
