Rangers News: Ryan Kent sweats on the possible ban after elbowing Celtic captain Scott Brown

The Old Firm derby once against lived up to its notorious reputation as tension ran throughout the course of the game.

The Hoops drew first blood with a splendid goal from Odsonne Edouard.  The Gers forward, Kent, provided the equalizer in the second half which was soon cut short by James Forrest, helping his side to pick up a 2-1 victory.

In the process, Alfredo Morelos was sent off after elbowing the Hoops skipper Brown in the first half.

However, Kent who did the same thing to Brown as Morelos went unnoticed by the match officials.

Now, the SFA compliance officer could hand the on-loan Liverpool forward a suspension of an indefinite period.

Following the win, Hoops gaffer Neil Lennon pointed out the Brown’s incident as a disgraceful one.

“Browny got elbowed and then he got punched or pushed in the face. It’s disgraceful.”

In contradiction, Steven Gerrard insisted that his players got provoked by the antagonizing Scotts midfielder. (h/t The Sun)

“You’re playing against a player who loves to antagonize. Morelos and Kent are both provoked.”

After the final whistle, players from both the sides scuffled which completely hindered the quality of the game.

Lennon’s side has moved thirteen points clear of the Light Blues and further solidified the chances of winning the title.
