2 Players Who Could Leave Liverpool In January

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could be one of the busiest clubs in the January transfer market as the manager is still looking to cover all the loopholes in the squad. Liverpool have managed to cling on to 4th place in the points table, halfway through the season. A number of star players have been linked with a move to Anfield but Klopp should also look to offload players, who do not belong to the first-team at the club.

A few players are struggling to get game time and may be sent out on loan while some could even end up being sold. Here are two such players, who are not expected to be at Anfield, come February.

Marko Grujic

The Serbian midfielder is one of the most exciting youngsters currently at the club but having failed to make a single start for the club this season, he is already looking for a loan move away from Liverpool. His only start this season has come in the League Cup and his agent has been vocal with the fact that he will look for a loan move in January.

His agent revealed that the player will look for an English club to gain some experience in the second half of the season and the likes of Aston Villa and Brighton are very much interested in his services. It does not look easy for him to get into the first-team at Anfield and is sure to leave the club on loan in January.

Lazar Markovic

Another Serbian struggling to get anywhere near the Liverpool squad is winger Lazar Markovic. A signing made by Brendan Rodgers, Markovic has struggled to impress Jurgen Klopp, who was ready to offload him in the summer. He spent last season on loan at Hull City, who were relegated and Liverpool failed to find a proper destination for him and had to keep him in their books for another season.

However, he is completely left out in the cold and is not even a part of the reserve sides, which is certain to push him out of the club. At just 23, he still has great potential to turn into a top star but at the moment, a move away from Liverpool in January is the only possible option ahead of him.
