Barcelona are looking to sign Daley Blind from Manchester United as incoming boss Jose Mourinho believes that the player does not fit his plans for United next season.
According to Squawka, Mourinho is not sure about the player’s suitability at the role of center-back in his team. Thus, Mourinho will be dropping the axe on the player in the summer.
Barcelona are in the market for a central defender and after having failed in bringing John Stones and Aymeric Laporte, they are frustrated with their efforts to sign their top target Marquinhos. Thus, Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez is looking out for a second tier central defender and has narrowed down Seville midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak and Manchester man Blind as the next targets.
According to the Sport, Luis Enrique will have to spend roughly €18million (£14m) to bring the Dutch player to the Nou camp this summer.
