Bournemouth vs Liverpool: Team News, Lineups, Stats, And Prediction

After an emphatic win over Dortmund in Europa League, Liverpool are through to the semi-finals of the Europa league. On this coming Sunday, Liverpool will be travelling to Vitality Stadium to face one of the most surprising teams in this season’s premier league, Bournemouth.

Arrival of Klopp has escalated the players performance and we have witnessed that. Liverpool are on a fine run of form. Besides beating Dortmund, they overpowered Stoke city in their last premier league fixture by 4 goals to 1. Bournemouth, on the other hand, are performing out of their skin and are doing everything they can. They had a tough last game where they marginally defeated Aston Villa by 2 goals to 1.

Bournemouth are currently just 3 points behind the defending leaders Chelsea and will be looking out to match them in the table. Furthermore, Liverpool are just 2 points behind Southampton and 4 behind West Ham. I’m pretty sure, Klopp can manage to finish his campaign with a European ticket in his pocket and a win against Bournemouth will give his side a huge boost. The last time these two sides met, Liverpool marginally clinched the victory by scoring just 1 goal.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth team news-

Liverpool will be without their skipper Jordan Henderson and Danny Ings.

Christian Benteke is still a doubt for the club but might star from the bench.

Emre Can is serving a two-match ban after receiving his tenth booking in the encounter with Spurs.

For Edie Howe, Stanislas might be available for the next game and Adam Smith is also recovering from his injury and might be available as well.

Benik Afobe is the only player who  will be absent for a long time for the club.

Stats-

In their number of games, Liverpool are just marginally ahead in terms of winning the games. Bournemouth have won 11 games and Liverpool have 13.

Bournemouth have never beaten Liverpool in any competitions.

Liverpool in their last 3 away games, they have scored at least 2 goals in each game.

Prediction-

Well, looking at the teams recent form it is hard to separate these two sides as both of them have won 4 out of their last 6 games but, Liverpool have lost just 1 and Bournemouth have lost 2.

Liverpool are in superior form under Klopp and as to achieve their European target, the team will do everything they can. Though Bournemouth have their home advantage, I’m sure that Liverpool will clinch the victory under their noses some way or the other.
