£74k a Week Wages, £18m Fee – Deal Simple For Manchester United

Manchester United have been trying to sign Spanish players since some time now however, when the right time to sign anyone player comes, we don’t see United anywhere around.

They were leading in the race to sign Ander Herrera and also for Atletico Madrid’s Saul, however they were missing when the time was right and they could have just signed the players.

United were very close to signing the Madrid player by activating his 24m Euros release clause, but gain that did not happen. While Atletico Madrid are not looking to let Saul, they are offering a new contract to the player even though his current contract with the club runs till 2020.

Another reason for Atletico to renew the contract is to amend the low release clause which could easily be activated and hence provide the club with more chances to cash in on the player, when negotiating his potential exit. However, Saul’s demand of 5m Euros per year is turning into a problem for Atletico and that’s the amount United can easily spend on their players.

The salary, which equates to approximately £74.4k/week, would mean nothing to a club like Manchester United, rumoured to be still sniffing around, who would probably offer him this in a heartbeat.
