The Sun has reported that Mourinho has asked his usual back-room staff to join him in United. The Sun further reports an occurrence of informal contact between Mourinho and Alex Ferguson.
While United’s performance against Chelsea and Swansea seems to have extended the Dutchman’s stay in the club, the dull game against Sheffield United and a 3-3 draw against Newcastle, has put the pressure back on Van Gaal.
The Red Devils need to win the match against Liverpool on Sunday, if not United will be putting themselves in a precarious situation and Van Gaal’s job might rest on the edge of the sword.
Mourinho’s sacking from Chelsea might make the Old Trafford bosses think twice before they decide on replacing Van Gaal with the Special one. However, the former Blues’ manager is ready to get back into management and has already eyed his next job.
